READ-A-THON, our BIGGEST and MOST EXCITING fundraiser of the year (BY FAR!), is here.

This year's theme is Ash Goes Camping. Have FUN reading, raise money and EARN PRIZES!

RULES 

• Sponsorships Ask friends & family to sponsor you with a flat donation or dollar amount per number of hours read. Use your sponsorship form to keep track of your sponsors' pledges. Donations can be submitted online at https://www.shakerpto.org/form/m/135073. Please return your reading log to school so your hours are counted. Sponsors NOT necessary to participate. Checks to be made out to "Fernway PTO".
• Types of Reading Allowed Read to self, read to others, or be read to by another person. *IMPORTANT* AUDIO BOOKS ARE NOT ALLOWED unless necessary as a special accommodation due to an inability or difficulty reading. 
• Log your hours! Be honest with your time so that it will be fair and FUN for everyone! REMEMBER THAT YOUR PARENT/GUARDIAN NEEDS TO SIGN YOUR READING LOG.

INDIVIDUAL PRIZES

Read for 4 hours or more (2hrs K-1) & win:	Read for 7 hours or more (4hrs K-1) & win:	Read for 12 hours or more (6hrs K-1) & win:	Be the TOP READER in your grade & win:

CLASS PRIZES

• The top FUNDRAISING class in each grade wins an EXTRA RECESS & A TROPHY FOR YOUR CLASSROOM. 
• The top FUNDRAISING class school-wide wins an EXTRA RECESS, A SPECIAL TROPHY & ASH'S S’MORE TRAIL MIX.

IMPORTANT DATES

• Feb 27: Read-a-thon kicks off with Pajama Day. Wear PJ’s to school and bring a favorite stuffie.
• March 6: Read-a-thon ends! Celebrate by wearing your Ash T-shirt or other Fernway gear.
• March 10: Envelopes with reading log, sponsorship form and donations are due.
