WELCOME BOULEVARD FAMILIES!

August 2022

Dear Boulevard Families,

On behalf of the Boulevard Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), I warmly welcome you to the 2022-2023 school year!

My name is Carrie Shelfer, and I am thrilled to be your PTO President. I have three children, all of whom have attended Boulevard all the way through elementary school. My youngest is entering Third grade! Through the years I have filled lots of different roles on PTO, and I look forward to being President this year.

I hope to have the opportunity to meet many of you!
Looking forward to a wonderful year,

Carrie Shelfer

About Boulevard PTO:

The Boulevard Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) facilitates and supports the involvement of families in the educational success and well-being of students.

Every parent/caregiver and teacher of a Shaker student is automatically a valued member of the PTO as there are no dues to pay or applications to fill out!  All parents and guardians of Boulevard students are part of the Boulevard PTO, and have the opportunity to volunteer their time and skills to support our school community.

The Boulevard PTO Executive Board is formed in the spring for the following school year, and is made up of volunteer PTO Officers who plan, organize and lead the efforts to strengthen the Boulevard school community and support our students, families, teachers and staff. There are a number of subcommittees, projects and events that PTO manages, giving all PTO members the opportunity to participate directly in support of our school community.

Boulevard PTO is part of the umbrella PTO Council which oversees, guides, and collaborates with each Shaker school's PTO. For additional information about PTO Council, please visit the PTO Council webpage.

PTO Recruitment for the 2022-23 School Year

Our Boulevard PTO is made up of volunteers who plan, organize and lead the efforts to strengthen our school community and support our students, families, teachers, and staff. Every parent/caregiver and teacher of a Shaker student is automatically a valued member of the PTO.

The PTO at Boulevard Elementary is excited to bring back many of our CommUnity events next school year and wants to build a diverse team of leaders and volunteers. Your help is needed to build community for our school and support our teachers, staff, and students. Sign up here to volunteer or reach out to Recruitment Chair Harmina Moudgil with questions.
