Middle School Upper Field
The Raider Rainbow Run is a 2 mile fun run... AND WALK through the SMS neighborhood for Shaker Middle School students. Registered runners who raise at least $25 will be given an official white Rainbow Run t-shirt and will make their way on a course with color stations. Volunteers from Shaker Schools will spray runners with a variety of colors as they pass! All Shaker Middle School students are invited to participate. Any students not participating in the run will attend their regular 7th and 8th period classes. We will run RAIN OR SHINE! You won’t want to miss this memorable tradition!

- There will be a DJ, food, and festivities
- Reconnect with old friends and make new ones
- Individual Incentives & Team Prizes will be awarded to those who raise the most funds and greatest number of participants
- There is a $5 registration fee. Participants must raise or donate at least $25 in order to receive an official Raider Rainbow Run t-shirt
- Donations help to support teacher grants and educational opportunities for all SMS students, including scholarships for the annual field trip to Washington DC

Shaker Middle School Design Days (We need your help!!)
Shaker Middle School is seeking volunteers to present at Design Days, a unit helping 7th and 8th graders understand how the Design Cycle applies to the companies, careers, and products within our community. We are gathering 20 parents or community members who can speak with students for 42 minutes about the design elements in their career and introduce a simple hands-on project or discussion for the class to understand how design applies to real-world problems. If you work in architecture, engineering, robotics, startups, product design, or technology, or know someone who does, we need your help! Presentations will be held on Thursdays and Fridays during school hours in December. For more information, please reach out to Carla Macklin (firstname.lastname@example.org).
