WELCOME SHAKER MIDDLE SCHOOL FAMILIES!
If you have a child at Shaker Heights Middle School, you are automatically a valued member of our PTO. There are no fees or dues, and we welcome your involvement throughout the year.
Through the Shaker Heights Middle School neighborhood with color stations throughout the course staffed by students, parents, staff and principals from each elementary school.
Students, families, staff, community members - anyone can participate! Whether you compete with your friends or take a leisurely stroll, stay clean or get dusted with color, the Raider Rainbow Run has something for everyone.

Shaker Heights Middle School (Upper Fields)
11:00 AM - Check-In / Registration
11:30 AM - Ceremony (music, warm ups, welcome and more)
12:00 PM - Run/Walk begins (rain or shine!)
12:00 - 3:00 PM - Community Celebration open to all (food truck*, bake sale, DJ, activities and more)
*The food truck accepts credit cards. Bring money for the bake sale and concessions. Popcorn and cotton candy available for free.
Raider Rainbow Run Registration
Race registration is $5 per person or $25 with a t-shirt*
.
*Participants must register by Wednesday, April 30 to receive a 2025 Rainbow Run T-Shirt ($25). Otherwise, participants can register without a t-shirt ($5) anytime leading up to the event. Same-day registrations will be accepted up to the start of the event.

Raider Rainbow Run Sponsorship Opportunities
Business and family sponsorship opportunities are available ranging from $150 - $500.
Volunteers Needed for the Raider Rainbow Run
Baked (or store bought) sweet treats are needed for the Raider Rainbow Run Bake Sale. If you would like to contribute, please visit the Raider Rainbow Run Bake Sale Sign Up Genius.
Volunteers are also needed for a variety of race day activities, including set up, clean up, staffing the bake sale table, concessions table, check-in table and more. This is a great way to support the Raider Rainbow Run even if you don't want to walk or run. Time commitments vary by role. What does the Raider Rainbow Run support?
The Raider Rainbow Run is the only fundraiser for the Shaker Heights MIddle School PTO this school year. Funds raised are used to support SHMS students and staff through PTO programs, educational enrichment opportunities, community building and staff appreciation events.
Not able to participate?

Join the Middle School PTO for the 2025-2026 School Year!
Believe it or not, PTO planning is underway for the 2025-26 school year. Our PTO is vital in organizing events for students, supporting our staff through grants, and keeping our parents involved. But to make all this happen WE NEED YOU! Many positions are low time commitment and are flexible. We welcome anyone who is interested in signing up, we’d love to hear your voice! Teen Violence & Cyber Bullying Conversation
Join us for a discussion on Teen Violence and Cyberbullying. The event will take place on Tuesday, November 12th at 6:00pm at the Shaker Nature Center. We will be taking an indepth look at the topic and you will hear from a bullied student, their parents, a mental health expert, a lawyer, and more.
Cavs Night Out with Shaker Middle School
You are all invited to join other Shaker students and families for a Night Out with the Cleveland Cavaliers as they take on the Boston Celtics on Sunday, December 1st at 6:00pm at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse. Each ticket purchased will give the buyer a chance to be entered into a raffle to be part of the cheer tunnel as the Cavs enter the arena that evening. Tickets are $49.99 each with a portion of each sale donated to our Middle School PTO. Tickets will be available for purchase between Monday, September 30th and October 30th. Back to School Bash - Saturday, September 14
We celebrated the new school year in style! Middle School PTO teaming up with Moreland on the Move, Shaker Heights Police Department, and the Shaker Schools office of Family & Community Engagement to throw an exciting event with games, food, and celebrating our community.
September PTO Meeting - September 12
Join us in the Middle School Library as we launch our PTO for the year on Thursday, September 12 at 7pm. This is a great opportunity to get connected with other families, share information, and ask questions. We welcome all Middle School parents and caregivers to attend.
Popsicle Surprise - Tuesday, August 27
PTO provided popsicles for teachers and staff to cheer them up on a swelteringly hot day!
Teacher and Staff Lunch - Friday, August 23
PTO provided lunch for teachers and staff to kick off the school year. The teachers enjoyed a lunch catered by Caterology courtesy of the PTO! We wish the teachers a great year ahead and thank them for all they do for our children!
Register as a Volunteer
