WELCOME LUDLOW FAMILIES 

 

If you have a child at Ludlow Early Learning Center, you are automatically a valued member of Ludlow's Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). There are no dues or applications. The PTO plays an important role in our school community. We provide support for our teachers and students in a variety of ways, including organizing community events, supporting school-run events, organizing room reps, teacher grants, fundraising, and more. We hope that you will consider getting involved with the PTO. We always welcome new volunteers.

VOLUNTEERING FOR PTO EVENTS   

 

All volunteers for a school or PTO event, whether during the school day or after, are required to register with the district and complete a free background and fingerprint check. This includes those volunteering in the classroom, working 1:1 with students, helping at PTO-sponsored events, chaperoning a field trip and more.

 

The process is simple, fast and at no cost to you. To register or learn more about the process, please submit the Volunteer Registration Google Form. The volunteer registration process includes completing a short Google Form, a background check and fingerprinting and must be repeated every three years. Call 216-295-6268 if you need to check the expiration date for your background check.

 

You can schedule an appointment from the Volunteer Registration Google Form or you can call the Family and Community Engagement (FACE) office at 216-295-6268 or email at volunteer_face@shaker.org. The FACE department is located on the Second floor of the Shaker Heights Public Library Main Branch, 16500 Van Aken Blvd., Shaker Heights 44120.
